Family W.

  • Children's ages: 7, 18

The fridge was packed with medicines from the mother’s psychiatric treatments, but she nonetheless holds a job to the best of her ability and brings home 2,500 NIS a month. After the father was laid-off with the onset of the Covid-19 crisis, the family's desperate financial situation only made the mothers condition worse, as was it expressed in the father’s fits of rage that he takes out on anyone in his surroundings. During the home visit. we found a broken toilet, a fridge with missing shelves, and a freezer filled almost entirely with bread… Their children already have so much to deal with from their mothers psychiatric diagnosis, it’s imperative that at least food shouldn’t be for them in short supply!
