Divorced

When M. got married at the age of 17, she thought she would be escaping the shadow of being raised by a criminal father and an emotionally abusive mother. As a mother of 4, she soon discovered that her husband, too, was involved in criminal activities. After their divorce, M. received no child-support and fell into a dreadful financial state. This last year alone, she has been evicted from three apartments and roams the streets homeless with her four children, seeking temporary asylum from kind families who temporarily house this broken mother and her four young children. M. is currently battling for her right to free government housing, but is still dependent on the mercy of others to provide a temporary roof over her children's heads.
