J. is an immigrant from Ethiopia, a single mother of 4 children. When she immigrated to Israel, she bought a small apartment with the help of a grant for new immigrants, and for years she worked in cleaning houses until covid crisis when she was fired. Y., was left with no income at all, no alimony, and with an income guarantee of NIS 3000 for 5 people! During our home visit we were amazed to see an empty fridge, one tomato and little onion... We could not look these children in the eyes, children who grow up without a father and without even minimal needs!
