The family consists of a handicapped father + a mother and 4 young children. They live in a rented apartment. It’s obvious that this family lives in a state of poverty, which adversely affects the parent’s ability to provide for their kids' most basic needs. Over the years the family attempted to undergo various financial rehabilitation programs, but it’s apparent that they had great difficulty rising-up out of the severe financial distress they’re in, and that they aren’t ready to undergo intensive therapeutic intervention. The mother frequently visits the Dept. of Social Services, together with her little children, asking for food vouchers to help stock their empty fridge.
