The G. couple are parents to 3 children. The mother M. has substantial psychiatric issues and is institutionalized as needed. Her heavy medication regimen doesn’t allow her to find employment, leaving the entirety of the financial and childcare responsibilities to fall squarely on the father. They live in a rented apartment, and survive off of food packages and by purchasing only the most basic food staples, primarily bread and vegetables.
